Welcome to Hickleton Golf Club

Hickleton Golf Club is located in open countryside in the heart of South Yorkshire between the towns of Doncaster, Rotherham and Barnsley, yet only three miles from junction 37 of the A1(M).

The original 9-hole course was founded in 1909 with the current 18-hole layout opening in 1976, which was designed by the Ryder Cup players Neil Coles and Brian Huggett.  Since 1976 the course has been developed into one of the finest and challenging courses in the South Yorkshire region. The course is an undulating parkland course with tree-lined fairways and fantastic panoramic views over South Yorkshire and the eastern Pennines. In the words of many visitors to Hickleton:   "a superb course with magnificent scenery."

Societies, groups and casual visitors are always given a warm welcome at Hickleton Golf Club. Our staff will see that you are looked after throughout your time with us.

Packages are available to suit all needs, from a simple 18 holes only package, to packages of 36 holes including food and drink before, during and after your round. Special winter packages are available from November through to March.

What's happening at Hickleton Golf Club

Following an exceptionally dry and warm Autumn, the course remains in excellent condition for the time of year and will continue to provide a testing golfing challenge for the enthusiastic Winter golfer.

Available every day but only after 12 noon on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Our special offer Monday rate of £12.50 continues to apply, with food offers available in the clubhouse.

If you are a larger party why not instead book our Winter package for golf parties of 12 or more. This includes refreshments on arrival and a warm meal after golf for as little as £23.00 per head. Click on the Societies page for more details.

By popular demand we are now re-introducing our Sunday Carvery served in the clubhouse from 1pm to 5pm. Visitors welcome. For a Special Introductory period three courses are available for just £9.95 or two courses for £7.95. Reductions for children under 12.
